Security Cook (the blender of the different flavors of information security), Shark Biologist, USA Table Tennis Amateur, Entrepreneur, Preacher, d4t4p1r8, Straight Arrow, IT Strategist are some of the attributes one could use to describe Mano Paul.

Born to missionary parents, whose life history is published in a biography called “Pioneering on the Pinda”, Mano was raised on the ethical and moral virtues of being a wise steward in all things given and always trying to “do more with less”, which makes him an effective leader, visionary and a team player.

Mano started his career as a Shark Research volunteer in the Bahamas at the Bimini Biological Field Station and then came to the USA to do his higher studies following which he joined Dell Inc, after trying out a few entrepreneurial ventures. At Dell, Inc., Mano has played several roles from software developer, quality control analyst, logistics manager, technical architect and security program manager, and IT strategist.

Mano is now the President and CEO of Express Certifications, a professional training and certification preparation company, which is now the OFFICIAL self assessment practice exam testing and training provider of the renowned and worldwide recognized security certifications – CISSP and SSCP in partnership with (ISC)². Express Certifications is also the provider of the self assessment training engine behind the Department of Defense certification education program as mandated by the 8570.1 directive. He also founded SecuriskSolutions a company that specializes in three areas of information security – 1. Security Consulting 2. Security Awareness, Training and Education and 3. Security Product Development.

Mano has been featured in various domestic and international security conferences, contributed to and published various security articles and was an invited speaker in the BurtonGroup Catalyst, CSI (Computer Security Institute) and the OWASP Application Security Conference.

Professionally, Mano holds the CISSP, MCAD, MCSD, CompTIA Network+ certification and has Management Information Systems degree from OU, a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Fish and Fisheries from University of Chennai and a Diploma in Import/Export Management.

While not at work, Mano practices for the annual USA table tennis tournament, acts as a standby preacher in the local Church, stays up late at night researching new security vulnerabilities & technological trends.

An interesting and random fact… Mano’s favorite saying is “some people dream of success, you just have to get up and work at it”. He describes LEADERSHIP (as his mom has taught him and others) as an acronym that stands for Learn(L), Emphathize(E), Appreciate(A), Delegate(D), Entrust Responsibility(ER), Serve Humbly(SH), Influence People(IP).

Mano is married to whom he calls the “most wonderful and sacrificial person in this world” – Sangeetha Johnson and their greatest fulfillment comes from spending time with the most wonderful addition in their lives – Reuben Abishai Paul (Baby RAP), a precious gift.
